Shopfitting an empty commercial tenancy into a functional, eye-popping commercial retail soccer shop.

Jason Horn and the Total Fitouts Bay of Plenty team undertook an exciting project to transform a vacant commercial space into an engaging retail commercial fitout for The Soccer Shop. With the goal of creating a functional retail design, the shopfit experts engaged with a design partner and worked closely with them and the client through the process, assisting with construction methods and value engineering in order to meet the client’s budgets.

The scope of the work encompassed various aspects, including an entry makeover, construction of feature walls, such as brick and timber walls, and a complete redesign to optimise the retail shopping experience while embracing a soccer theme.

The front section of the commercial retail fitout was carefully redesigned to enhance street appeal and attract passing foot traffic. Bespoke brand signage and captivating floor-to-ceiling window displays were implemented to showcase merchandise and entice customers. Two large glass doors were installed, inviting visitors to step inside the store and look at the eye-catching store.

Jason and his skilled team of carpenters delivered a retail fitout with a strong focus on soccer aesthetics. The functional layout incorporated standout features such as brick and timber walls, creating a striking contrast against the black-painted wall space. Concrete flooring was chosen for its durability and suitability for high foot traffic. One remarkable element is the custom LED soccer field displayed on the roof, featuring a turf texture that mimics a soccer field. This amazing shop feature was custom-built by Jason and his commercial shopfitting team to elevate the fitout.

Behind the scenes, the team installed sleek black change rooms to accommodate the displayed clothing merchandise. Custom shelving was strategically placed along the walls and shop floor to showcase soccer balls, boots, and other accessories in a fun, interactive way. A soccer net, positioned near the ceiling, added a wow-factor to the store’s atmosphere. Additionally, the retail fitout featured green turf on the ground, further enhancing the soccer theme, while black bespoke counters provided a sleek and cohesive look. Ample LED lighting and bulk heads painted black were added to blend seamlessly with the overall design, illuminating the space, and ensuring the vibrant-coloured merchandise stood out.
