Diamond Nails, a haven of beauty and relaxation located in the picturesque Redcliffe Bay, Brisbane was founded by Martin and Nok Boyd. Diamond Nails specialises in providing top-notch nail services along with massage and beauty services. Total Fitouts Sunshine Coast South, in collaboration with their in-house commercial designers Telia and Ishoa, brought Martin & Nok’s vision for the wellness and beauty fit out to life with their expert craftsmanship.

The full scope of the commercial wellness and beauty fit out involved extensive demolition of the existing space, which presented challenges due to its age and condition. However, shopfit experts Total Fitouts Sunshine Coast South rose to the occasion, executing a complete strip and remodel to bring the new layout and requirements to life. The commercial fitout had an inviting reception area, an open nail salon area as well as two luxurious beauty and massage rooms.

Upon entering Diamond Nails, guests are transported into a realm of boutique charm and modern elegance. The commercial fitout is adorned in soft shades of pink, creating a soothing and inviting atmosphere. Featuring contemporary feature tiles and custom concrete basins, every detail is designed to enhance the client’s experience and promote a sense of calm and tranquillity. National Tiles contributed to the feature-tiled vanity on the back wall and top of the reception desk. Laminex enhanced the space with ribbed paneling behind the spa chairs and at the front of the reception desk, adding texture. Robert Gordon supplied ceramic pink wall sconces above the ramp and along the back wall, bringing the vision commercial interior designers Telia & Ishoa had envisioned. Ishoa mentioned “I loved that the client had a very clear vision of what she loved and didn’t. The commercial design process was lovely and smooth.”

Unique design features were present in the commercial fit out, including arched walls and a curved counter that add a touch of sophistication to the space. An internal lightbox sign with a custom booth seat further elevate the ambience, creating a memorable experience for clients. Telia, commercial interior designer at Total Fitouts Sunshine Coast South mentioned “I particularly enjoyed designing Diamond Nails because it allowed me the opportunity to craft a unique polish display with custom joinery. It was exciting to venture into something new!”

Despite challenges such as non-compliant DDA access issues with the existing ramp, the project team adapted and overcame, ensuring that Diamond Nails met all necessary requirements and standards.

While the exact timeline for the project’s completion was disrupted by a holdover the Christmas break, the commercial design phase spanned approximately 6-8 weeks, showcasing the meticulous attention to detail and dedication to excellence that defines Diamond Nails.
