Rising dominantly out of its concrete surroundings, Fernwood Ultra commands attention. Its modern exterior of angled glass and steel and attractive new signage pave the way to the incredible transformation that has taken place inside this unusually shaped building.
Maximising the functionality of the existing space while creating a new fitness and wellness space was essential. A new entry point redirects traffic flow, while several new workout zones effortlessly merge with the internal angles of the building.
Keeping the building warm in winter and cool in summer was also a requirement in what is essentially a glass and steel structure.
