Minimalist cosy or a space for relaxation
Treating oneself to a trip to the day spa is one of life’s true indulgences. We walk in feeling ashy and a little tired, and walk out feeling rejuvenated and pampered. A spa visit should feel like a treat from the moment you walk through the doors, and a great fitout can do just that.
When building the Fika Day Spa we ensured we captured this feeling by employing clean, simple lines, ample light, and timeless Scandi elegance. Named proudly after the Swedish term Fika (meaning ‘a break from activity’), Fika Day Spa is a space where confident functionality meets warm welcome without sacrificing beauty.
While developing this build, it was important for the client to maximise the use of the small space without making it feel cluttered. To make this happen, we made the most of the principles of Scandi design to give the sensation of space, light, and a clean canvas. From the white walls, ample natural light, natural elements, generous storage, and eye-catching feature lighting, Al and his expert team at Total Fitouts Sutherland Shire helped carve out an intimate space in Engadine that invites you to slow down, indulge, and be pampered.
