Located in the brand new Kennington Village complex, #hashtag is Bendigo’s latest concept in hospitality. The aim was to provide a universal dining and entertainment experience – from breakfast to late night drinks, watching a game on the big screens, enjoying coffee with friends or a family night out.
Owner Corey Scoble’s vision was to create a versatile venue that transformed the traditional pub into a buzzing social meeting place. Architect Joost Van Bree made the most of a 900-square metre footprint by creating a range of distinct areas: a mezzanine level with salon-inspired booths; a group dining space with exposed ceiling beams; and a quirky, on-trend alfresco area complete with AstroTurf flooring.
Total Fitouts Central VIC used matte charcoal, stainless steel, high-gloss white and pale timbers across the whole venue to create a simple, contemporary aesthetic that flows easily between key areas. Unusual materials like cement bricks and radiator screen drum light fittings lend an edgy, industrial feel, which contrasts perfectly with the bright bursts of natural greenery scattered throughout.
