This award winning commercial fitness fitout, located in Brisbane’s iconic West End, was brought to life by Matt Banks and the Total Fitouts Brisbane Inner South team. The owners contacted the shop fitting/ project management team to help them design and build their ‘Pilates Meets Cardio’ commercial fitness fitout.
Owners of the popular reformer Pilates business, tasked the team with transforming an old industrial warehouse space, located in a retail hub, into a modern fitness studio fitout. The scope included creating a modern reception area, comfortable communal waiting space, state of art Pilates training studio, and function staff/ storeroom.
Total Fitouts Director Matt Banks says, “The existing building shell had good bones, and cool industrial features including extra high ceiling, exposed steel, and concrete flooring. Instead of covering up the existing elements we enhanced them with lighting, bespoke carpentry and black acoustic panelling.”
The shop fitting team built a calm yet practical space, where clients can enjoy reformer cardio sessions, a welcoming reception area, functional consultation space and practical storage too. Custom hardwood joinery, soft lighting, neon signage and a neutral colour palette were key design requirements.
The team built on-trend black shelving to showcase merchandise, a custom-built counter with panelling, led lighting, and a classic stone bench top. The space was brought together with the feature lighting and ‘quote’ throughout. The modern customer bathroom showcases the stylish commercial fitout.
Soft lights, a natural calming colour palate, hand crafted bespoke carpentry, and raw finishes were installed to create a textured, light and calming studio.
Matt and the Total Fitouts Brisbane Inner South team expertly managed the complete construct and build project, delivering bespoke touches, custom timber joinery, mood lighting and high-end finishes. The result another memorable fitness fit out for the Total Fitouts local team of fit out professionals.
