Total Fitouts Illawarra recently completed a cutting-edge commercial retail fitout for The Phone Surgery, a tech repair business owned by Tay and Nikki Esen. Located in the vibrant Kiama Village Shopping Centre, The Phone Surgery specialises in phone, computer, and technology repairs, along with a wide range of phone cases. The Phone Surgery is sleek, modern, and tech-savvy, creating an moody atmosphere that is both professional and inviting.
The commercial interior design of The Phone Surgery is both modern and functional, featuring dark walls complemented by extensive lighting and LED strips. The use of corrugated perforated cladding adds a unique and industrial aesthetic to the space. The open-plan front area is welcoming and efficiently designed for customer interaction, while the rear storage and repair room provide ample space for the technical work. The total area of the interior fit out is 66.5 square meters.
A notable feature of the commercial retail fit out is the perforated corrugated iron cladding powder-coated in blue, which creates a striking visual effect. Blue LED lighting and LED strips are strategically placed throughout the store to enhance the modern vibe and provide ample illumination. The space also boasts all custom joinery, shopfront glazing, and clear signage to ensure a seamless and professional appearance.
The project was designed by Lynuz, an in-house commercial interior designer at Total Fitouts Surry Hills & Parramatta. The design process and execution were carried out efficiently, despite the challenges posed by concurrent projects. The trades schedules for The Phone Surgery collided with those of The Spot Cafe and Meats and Greet BBQ, causing some logistical difficulties. Nevertheless, the team managed to navigate these challenges and complete the commercial fit out within the planned timeline.
The entire commercial fit out process, from commercial design to build, was completed in a swift 4 weeks. This rapid turnaround is a testament to Total Fitouts Illawarra’s capability to deliver high-quality, functional, and aesthetically pleasing retail spaces promptly.
